A little knowledge about rubber mold

release time:2023-02-10publisher:

What is a rubber mold?

Rubber die is mainly used for the need to strengthen the molding pressure or transfer molding pressure process environment. Rubber molds are useful when the vacuum bag has difficulty entering the recessed area of the complex cavity. In the fixed volume method, the part and the rubber material are completely enclosed in a reversible metal frame, and the expansion of the rubber effectively causes the part to be subjected to a uniform fluid pressure. In the variable-volume method, a vacuum bag or a flexible levelling plate is placed over the rubber mold, eliminating the need to accurately calculate the volume of the rubber mold. The most basic form of rubber mold is as a simple template between the vacuum bag and the parts, or as a rubber pad in the parts that are difficult to compact.

Types of rubber molds

According to the different mold structure and product production process, rubber mold is divided into: pressing molding mold, die casting molding mold, injection molding mold, extrusion molding mold four common mold.

1. Press forming die

Also known as the common die. It is the mixed, processed into a certain shape and weighed semi-finished rubber directly into the mold, and then into the plate vulcanizing machine pressure, heating. The rubber material is vulcanized and formed under pressure and heating.

2. Die casting mold

Also known as transfer mold or extrusion mold. It is the mixed, simple shape, limited number of semi-finished rubber material or rubber block into the die casting cavity, through the pressure of the die casting plug extrusion rubber material, and the rubber material through the pouring system into the mold cavity vulcanization.

3. Injection molding die

It is the preheated plastic state of the rubber material by the injection mold pouring system into the mold to set vulcanization.

4. Extrusion die

The semi-finished rubber profiles of various cross-section shapes are made through the forming mold of the head, so as to achieve the purpose of preliminary modeling. Then, after cooling and shaping, the semi-finished rubber materials are transported to the curing tank for vulcanization or used as preforming semi-finished rubber materials required by the pressing method.

Advantages of rubber mold

1. Rubber mold is very stable at room temperature, easy to cure, suitable for extension but not easy to deformation. And the materials are mostly base glue or catalyst, raw materials are very convenient to obtain, can be mass production.

2. Rubber mold is non-toxic. Nontoxicity is an important consideration when using new materials.

3. The demoulding performance of the rubber mold is very good. When entering the mold, the fluidity is excellent.

4, rubber mold is very suitable for making mold, but also can control vulcanization, so that the speed is not too fast to affect the effect of the mold. The rubber mold has a good degree of simulation, reducing the amount of labor behind the modification. It also makes molds very fast.

5. The rubber mold has the advantages of simple structure, strong versatility, wide application range and convenient operation.

6. High production efficiency, stable quality and automatic production of rubber mold.

The difference between rubber mold and plastic mold

1. The difference of raw materials. Most plastics refer to PE,PP,PVC,PC and other materials, which are often exposed to us in our days. Rubber usually refers to natural rubber and synthetic rubber, etc.

2. Rubber moulds are generally hot dry pressing moulds. During processing, the rubber strip is put into the cavity of the rubber mould.

3. Plastic molds are generally injection molds. The melted plastic raw materials are injected into the mold cavity. After the raw materials are cooled and solidified in the mold cavity, the mold is opened and the finished products are ejected.

Daily maintenance of rubber mold

1. Regular maintenance of the rubber mold wear curve is present in every rubber mold. When the number of processing is satisfied, the rubber mold maintenance is realized, the maintenance plan is easy to control the maintenance time.

2. Maintenance of the mold is to prolong the life of the mold, stable quality, easy maintenance and other purposes.

3. Maintenance refers to the normal cleaning, inspection of rubber molds, and moving to oil, etc. This job is usually to confirm that the mold is in normal condition, so that anomalies can be detected early.

4. There will be some changes in the processing of rubber mold for maintenance in accident state, and it can not be used any more. For example, the raw edges become larger, the wrong size, such as scars, mold parts burning. The content of mold repair and maintenance started because of similar anomalies is called an accident. This maintenance is usually used until near the limit if the rubber mold maintenance costs the time and more importantly, the life of the mold is short以上翻译结果来自有道神经网络翻译(YNMT)· 通用领域
